M. Ella Judy
According to the Apostolic Faith (October 1906), Ella Judy received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues in the upper room of the Azusa Mission. Judy was a teacher at the Institution for the Education of the blind (Ohio State School for the Blind). This was the first public school for the blind in the United States and was a rather large school with as many as 300 students. Judy visited Los Angeles on her summer vacation in 1906.
Before coming to the mission she suffered from insomnia and other trobules, but she was used by God as a soul winner.
