Van W. Seymour

Van W. Seymour was born June 21, 1912. He was the son of William Seymour's younger brother, Jacob. He lived in Verdunville, Louisiana where he owned a run-down, old "beer joint" adjoining the Seymour family property. He died March 21, 1997. His property has now been razed.

According to an interview with his wife, Lucille, Van lived for a time with "his Uncle William and Aunt Jennie" in Los Angeles. In her advanced years and in ill health at the time of the interview, Mrs. Seymour still had a vivid recollection of this event in her late husband's life. She also said Van had a photo of the William and Jennie, but we could not locate it. Van was a boy of ten years age when William Seymour died.
